What is Trezor Suite?

Trezor Suite is the official desktop and web application for managing a Trezor hardware wallet. It helps you initialize your device, create secure backups, send & receive crypto, manage coins, and review transactions — all while keeping private keys isolated on the device. This presentation guides you through the first-time setup, best practices, and daily usage.

H1 — Getting started (plug, follow, confirm)

Step 1 — Download & open Trezor Suite

For the optimal experience use the desktop version, or open the web app if you prefer not to install software. Then plug in your device and follow the on-screen onboarding steps. The Suite walks you through firmware checks, PIN creation, seed/wallet backup methods, and device labelling.

H2 — Secure setup: PIN, passphrase & wallet backup

PIN safety

Choose a PIN you will remember but that is not guessable. The PIN protects your device if it is physically stolen. Input is on the host device, but confirmation of operations happens on the Trezor.

Wallet backup (recovery)

During setup, Trezor generates a recovery phrase (wallet backup). Write it down on paper or, preferably, place it on a metal backup plate for durability. Never store the full recovery phrase in cloud storage, email, or photos. If you lose the device, the wallet backup is how you recover your funds.

Once configured, Trezor Suite lets you: view portfolio balances, send and receive coins, manage coin accounts, and access advanced settings like coin-specific features, staking and swaps. Always verify recipient addresses on the Trezor device screen before confirming any transaction.

Verify firmware authenticity via the Suite during startup.
